We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our lively early years teaching team. You will be instrumental in providing a safe, supportive and exciting environment for young children. Your passion and leadership will assist nurture their growth so that they know they are cherished and encouraged each and every day. This is a paid position and is a great opportunity to make a good difference in children’s lives, while obtaining significant experience in childcare and management.
Responsibilities
Assist children with their daily activities such as play, eating, nap, learning activities
Help deliver educational programs that enhance early childhood development.
Supervise children at all times throughout indoor and outdoor activities to protect their safety
Provide creative and instructive activities that foster children’s curiosity and growth
Work with senior staff to assess progress and address individual requirements
Communicate clearly with parents and guardians about their child’s day and progress
Assist with nursery operations, including organising materials and maintaining a clean and pleasant atmosphere.
Certifications
Experience of dealing with children in a childcare/nursery environment extremely desirable
Sound management and leadership skills to effectively guide and support young students.
Excellent English communication skills to comfortably communicate with children, parents and team members
Knowledge of concepts of early childhood education and best practices in childcare
Be able to show compassion, understanding and a nurturing approach to young children
Desirable: Valid driving licence for transferring children or supplies when needed
Previous nursery experience or certifications in early years education will be an asset
