Healthcare Assistant (Carer) – Visa Sponsorship Available
Description of the Job
In this role you will provide important personal care and support to senior residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity and safety. This position involves assisting individuals with their activities of daily living and providing emotional support and companionship which is very important to their overall well-being.
Job Responsibilities
Assist individuals with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, eating and toileting.
Assist residents with mobility and physical activities such as walking, exercise, and transfers.
Keep an eye on the health of the residents and report any problems to the senior staff or medical team.
Provide companionship and conversation and assist in maintaining resident social and emotional well-being.
Assist with medication (under supervision) and ensure residents receive the correct doses at the correct times.
Keep residents’ rooms and personal areas clean, safe and comfortable.
Role Profile
Experience in healthcare is preferred but training can be given.
Kind, gentle and kind with a real desire to serve others.
Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with residents and other personnel.
Ability to operate independently and within a team.
Fit enough to support residents with mobility and activities.
