Job Overview
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. However, we would be happy to receive submissions from applicants who have the right to work in the UK already including those on a Dependant visa (unrestricted work rights) or a Student visa (subject to the regular 20 hours per week term-time limit, full-time during holidays). You will be asked for proof of your right to work at application stage.
The Role In Brief
You will give 1:1 support to a client in their own home – a mixture of overnight sleep-in shifts and brief daily calls – allowing them to live safely, independently and with dignity. Previous knowledge in complex/behavioural support would be an advantage but not needed as complete training will be offered to the suitable candidate.
Just for men. genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 because of the client’s intimate personal care needs and stated preferences.
Shift Schedule
Sleep-in nights: charged £65 each night, Monday-Sunday
Daily calls: 1 hour daily, Monday – Friday
Flexible combination of overnight and daytime work – perfect for applicants looking for consistent part-time hours
What you’ll do
Personal care assistance
Assistance with activities in the house as needed
Help with money management and concentrate on expenditure that is needed
Meal preparation and assistance with feeding, as necessary
Medicine reminders for the treatment plan
Light housekeeping to ensure a safe household
Companionship and emotional support
IT system for documenting of care
Working with clients, family and healthcare professionals.
Must-Haves (please do not apply unless you meet these – saves you time)
Excellent oral and written English
UK right to work
Desirable (not needed – training can be supplied)
Experience in two or more of:
Support for learning difficulties or demanding behaviour
Assistance for Autism, ADHD or Asperger’s Syndrome
Support for self-harm
Support with substance usage
Mental health assistance
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training
What You Will Get
