Introduction
We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing specialist support to children and young people and supporting them to develop and flourish. Responsibilities
Offer one-to-one coaching and guidance to meet individual needs
Help children and young people with everyday tasks, making sure they are safe and comfortable
Promote behaviour development through positive reward and encouragement
Conduct fun educational activities, including life lessons and basic skills.
Work in partnership with families, carers and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
Monitor progress and keep accurate records of each person’s development
Encourage social inclusion by participating in community activities
Follow safeguarding policies and keep everyone safe at all times
About Qualifications
Experience of dealing with children or young people or interest in this area is desirable
Experience of mentoring, teaching or supporting behavioural development is desirable
Empathetic, patient and able to create rapport with a wide variety of people
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be flexible, exhibiting adaptation in a variety of settings
Relevant childcare, education or social care qualifications or training are an advantage but not essential
