Overview of the Job

There is a great job opening in the Accounts Payable Department at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and efficient Data Entry Accounts Payable Officer who wants to move up in our current Data Entry Team. The person who gets the job will be in charge of handling the more difficult questions and will help the Team Leaders with training and cover a wide range of duties when needed. We are following the rules and laws around COVID-19 and have put rules in place for safe working from home and on-site throughout the company. We are also thinking about how to balance community with flexibility and how to make the most of chances to learn from each other. The Accounts Payable Team supports flexible work hours and tells employees to work from home.

The job’s main duties

The Data Entry Accounts Payable Officer is the first person who NWSSP customers, such as Health Board workers, outside organisations, partners, stakeholders, and suppliers, can talk to about Data Entry issues. They will help the Team Leader keep an eye on the team’s key performance indicators, check that the team is following the rules, and help establish and keep Standard Working Instructions. They will train other teams in Accounts Payable, including people that work with them. They will be in charge of making sure that daily Bacs and Cheque payment runs are done correctly and on schedule. They will help test new patch releases in Oracle and do other random activities. They will help with resolving the more complicated questions that need to be fixed or acted on by a Team Leader. They will be in charge of running the generic box for processing manual invoicing and making things easier when they can.
