Support workers must include service users in the planning of their care by taking their wishes into account and asking for their input on any issues that impact them. Someone who knows what it’s like to be an adult with a disability today is needed for the job.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the duties and obligations that a Support Worker is supposed to carry out:
· To follow Eden Supported Services Ltd.’s Health and Safety Policy when doing business. This involves health and safety checks, risk assessments, and housekeeping chores to make sure that the residence is always clean and neat.
· To encourage and motivate people who utilise services to become more independent and stay that way, even if they have some restrictions.
· To take on the positions of Keyworker and/or Co-Keyworker.
To tell the Manager, Deputy Manager, and Team Leader about any important issues with service users.
· To have a healthy working connection with the people that use the service.
To help service users build and keep their support network, which includes family, friends, volunteers, and other groups and professionals.
· To work to make the residents’ lives better and make sure that their needs are being met.
· To make health and other appointments as needed.
· To give out and keep track of medication according to Eden Supported Services Ltd’s Medication Policy.
· To make and cook meals for the people who live in the home as needed and in accordance with Eden Supported Services Ltd’s Food Safety policy.
· To take into account the cultural demands of service users.
· To help young people in the community when they need it and in accordance with Eden Supported Services Ltd.’s Lone Working policy.
· To undertake cleaning and other household tasks that aren’t too different from what people usually do at home, in accordance with Eden Supported Services Ltd’s Health and Safety and COSHH policy.
· To help arrange the weekly activities for service users.
· To make and answer phone calls to and from professionals, prepare and read letters and emails, and send out mail according to the rules set by Eden Supported Services Ltd.
· To fill up all of the organization’s administrative records correctly and according to the rules.
· To watch, write down, and put together information for making and carrying out Support Plans, Behaviour Management Plans, Skills Learning Plans, Person Centred Plans, and Risk Assessments.
Working Hours – Full-Time Support Worker Jobs UK
You will have to work 37.5 hours a week and be ready for shifts on weekends, weekdays, and nights as needed.
