Band 3 to Band 5 OSCE Training for Staff Nurses

Are you a foreign-trained nurse currently employed in a UK healthcare facility who wants to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)?

Internationally trained nurses in the UK who want to advance in their careers with the National Health Service and possess the following qualifications are being sought after by us:

Fulfilled the NMC language requirements by passing the IELTS and OET.

Completed the adult Test of Competency (CBT) and passed both sections.

Possess experience working as a nursing assistant or HCA in the UK.

Evidence of these should be included with your application; without it, your application will not be accepted.

Successful candidates would get band 3 pay during their six-week OSCE training program, and they would advance to band 5 after receiving their NMC PIN.

In order to facilitate your admission into the nursing profession and your NMC registration, Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust offers assistance and direction.

We provide *after acquiring your NMC PIN:

  • Free training for the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) (£2000).
  • Free OSCE tests (up to two tests; the first exam costs £794 and the second retake costs £397).
  • Free transportation to the testing locations for the initial exam alone.
  • Sponsorship for a maximum of five years (£6050).

Main duties of the job

Our adult OSCE program for overseas nurses is well-structured, highly passable, and well-reviewed. We would be delighted to have you join our team at East Surrey Hospital.

You will get one-on-one assistance in clinical skills such aseptic non-touch technique (ANTT), medication management, and patient care planning in order to get ready for your OSCE.

As a part of the CAMHS Co-Production and Engagement Team, you will strive to provide young people’s opinions a platform in order to enhance services.

When asked, represent the interests and opinions of clients while gaining access to other statutory and community services in the area.

In any instance when it is acceptable, draw on your lived experience to establish a rapport with customers and discuss the stigma associated with mental health issues with coworkers.

Serve as a mentor and set an example for your clients on how to live a meaningful life.

Establish connections with statutory services and the local community, then put clients in touch with them.

Enter progress and client remarks into the computerised patient records system of the Trust.

Take the lead in co-producing the service.

Lead on service evaluation and improving outcomes for young people.

Encourage people to believe that recovery is possible by imparting knowledge from your own experienced experience. Encourage and facilitate information exchange in a mutually beneficial connection to foster autonomy, choice, and chances to engage with their communities.

In accordance with service requirements, the Peer Support will collaborate with the Coproduction/Engagement Team and play a key role in integrating coproduction practices into the service environment.

As part of the Personalised Care and Support Plan, the position holder will be in charge of conducting comprehensive needs assessments, making sure that people’s practical, emotional, social, and physical needs are recognised and met as soon as possible, and directing them to appropriate services.

Excellent organisational abilities, flexibility in approach, initiative, and a constant high level of professionalism are required of the position holder. In addition to having outstanding communication skills, the position holder will be open to continuing education and training as part of their orientation.

Candidates should have a lot of experience working in the medical field or in a position that involves interacting with the public.

Supporting cancer patients and their families, both in-person and over the phone, who are referred by clinical teams as well as those patients/relatives looking for information, guidance, and support on their own, is a significant responsibility of the position. The position will evaluate patients holistically to determine their information and support needs using an established methodology.
